Very blinkered thinking. Stand back and look at the bigger picture that the Horse Trams bring to the economy and the knock on their scrapping will bring

The horse trams make a positive net contribution to the Island. The majority of residents want to keep the horse trams. Let's act like a democracy.

it would be really foolish for the IOM to choose to remove such a unique piece of quirky heritage that so many people love and associate with the IOM.

It becomes a very sad day when the island is prepared to forsake its history and the very essence of where it has come from so casually and without consultation. There are aspects of the island which should never be touched, in fact they should see investment and love by the very people who are elected to look after it, those in elected positions are gatekeepers to the preservation of this island not charged with destroying it......if those people spent as much effort developing our natural and historic features as they do short term financial strategies like "space" and "bitcoins" then I am certain the Isle would become a more attractive place for tourism. Why are we not investing in our countryside to make it as attractive as the lakes to visit, why is the government investing in film franchises that quite frankly have no effect on me and my ability to enjoy the place I call home......I fully support the trams and I fully support a proportion of the tax I pay being invested inwards to preserve and develop further all we have for my children and children's children.

The Iom will loose much tourist appeal if this happens

Another piece of Manx heritage in jeopardy. This Island needs to retain all that is charming and unique to the island.both for Manx people and tourism.surely this is what brings visitors to the island.

A quite rediculous decision, to bin a piece of Manx heritage. Maybe if the bean counters who have wasted Lord knows how much money, on feasibility studies into resurfacing Douglas front. Stupid decisions like this wouldn't occur.

In the UK they are regretting taking all this away and now trying to put them back. Don't Do this! ! Its part of the iom and won't have anything unique.

They add nostalgic beautiful to a special Island. Soon going to I.O.M will be as exciting as going to Southport.

I was born on the Isle of Man & visited last year using both the trams & electric railway. They are part of my life & will always be associated with the island. Please don't scrap them

Don't blame the trams for the lack of tourists blame the Department of tourism. Invest in new ideas before the island we love goes down the pooper

Getting rid of this iconic method of transport would be an absolute travesty!
