The horse tramway is a unique system, and must be preserved for future generations.

This is a priceless facility which must be preserved at all cost. Come on Manx Government - There MUST be some way of financing this to ensure it's survival for future generations.

I am unlikely to make a further visit if the horse trams are removed.

Having just returned from USA the only thing anyone knew about the IOM was the TT and the Horse Trams. Why kill off such an attraction.

An asset for the island, should have government support and some finance from the go card system

Incredible that closure is even considered. It deserves heritage protection.

It will be a great loss to those who come to the island for the unique transport experience.

Disgraceful, if the Council stops the trams.

I have been a regular holiday visitor to the Isle of Man over 35 years and it is one of my favourite places for its beauty, character & friendliness. The transport is a particular interest for me, and I say that the loss of the Horse Tramway would be tragic, and can't be allowed to happen.

closure would represent a great loss and fewer tourists staying in Douglas hotels.

This tramway is unique and the heritage not just of the IOM but of the British Isles - this last remaining tramway should be kept for generations to come, and not sacrificed for short term expediency.

Incredible that this world renowned operation is to be scrapped due to local political issues.

big part of the high end heritage niche tourism product of the island, which will all be affected if this goes.

What an extraordinary bombshell-thought the dark days of 1966, 1968 and 1976 and 77 were long past and that the island's truly unique historic transport heritage had long be recognised
