The short sightedness of the decision to scrap the horse tramway will be felt for many years. This is a major tourist attraction. I have ben coming to the IOM from the US for 10 years and the horse tram is one of the spectacles that I point out to friends that may be considering a visit.

I LOVE these trams! I'm in my late 40s and have ridden them since I was a kid. Please don't take them away! A piece of history will surely be lost and the Douglas Prom will never be the same. Thank you!

The horse drawn trams are all part of the attraction of the I O M surely they should stay.

I think it should I remember being on them when a was 17 my 1st visit to the island & still like to see them when I return

The Douglas Horse trams should be kept and the Stablesdeveloped into a visitor centre. where people can see the heavy horses ,learn about them and have a small shop and cafe..make it a total feature., Far too precious to lose.

What madness is this?! I can't believe it. Part of the IOM's history and a unique feature, part of its quirky charm. Why would the IOM government want to scrap it?
