This is a short sighted decision by a Local authority who can't or won't see the value in keeping a unique piece of heritage

To lose them completely is very short sighted. They definitely need a new home along the seafront, out of middle of the road. Better public transport and incentives to leave cars at home will help your chaotic traffic situation on Douglas prom. Look forward not backwards!

I'm almost 70 years of age & I have been coming to the Island for many years, I also have family living there. I think it is appalling that you could even consider getting rid of such an historic, beautiful part of the Islands heritage. It will be a very sad day if the horses & carriges disappeared from the Douglas promenade VERY SAD!! Please reconsider

I can't believe scrapping the trams is even being considered.

I am come from a long line of Manx families. I went to the Buchan school and as a girl loved the horse drawn tram. I return regularly to see my sister who lives on the island and believe that Douglas would just not be the ssme with out our iconic horse drawn tram. Please do not scrap it!

I have been coming over to the island for over 30 years and the horse tram is always a highlight. I have spoken to many visitors and and it surprises me how many come over to ride the horse tram more then any other reason!

You can't stop progress? How about progressively preserving the history and heritage of something that benefits every generation that comes across it?

Please keep the Horse Trams as they are as much part of Douglas as is the Tower at Blackpool. Many people visit the Island just to see this historic monument. Please do not close part of you heitage

It would be criminal to do away with this. Its part of what Douglas is.

As a Manxwoman born and bred who has now moved away it will be a very sad day indeed when these no longer run up and down the prom.

Please keep the service it is a vital service used by thousands of tourists a year and keeps me and my friends visiting the I.O.M. Every year. this service would I'm sure have a devastating effect on tourism and the transport infrastructure and the appeal of the Island. Please rethink your decision.
