I visited the Isle of Man several years ago and think you have a wonderful and beautiful island You must not discontinue the horse tram as it is one of those rare things that makes the Isle of Man so special

It's part of the history of the IOM and gives great pleasure to tourist and locals so it should not be scraped at all

I think that it's disgusting how they can get away with things like this I don't want to see the horse trams go the same way as the Queen's pier

Being a Manxman now living in Plymouth it would be a great shame to lose the trams that I used to enjoy as a child, please keep them going.

I lived on the Island for nearly 5 years. To get rid of the horse drawn trams would be like stopping the TT! You lose the history, attraction, a piece of the island!

Scrapping such a 'signature' attraction can only be described a stupid and short sighted.

Sheer travesty for this iconic attraction to be scrapped - shame on those who have made this decision.

Stupid, thoughtless, shortsighted and everything everyone else has said. It's the way those in power do things - underhandedly - make it less frequent/inconvenient so less people use it then say it is economically unsustainable. There is a hidden agenda here. There is always a solution to a problem but you have to want to find it. Douglas truly will not be the same. Even the sound of the clip clop and rumble as they pass is a pleasure. The horse trams are a USP of the island. I thought people in charge of us lesser mortals were supposed to be intelligent!

Surely this iconic piece of the island's heritage must be kept. Too much of it has been 'watered down' already.

Please Please review this decision, this is one of the things which makes the Isle of Man the magical place it is. I have visited the Island at least twice a year since 1981 for various events including TT, MGP, S100, Blues festival and many times just because of its individual beauty. You know you have arrived when you get off the ferry and see the horse & trams on the prom. There's only the Isle of Man in the world where you get that special feeling. The people who are making this decision need to go and spend some time away from your beautiful island on their return they should understand what I mean, If not, maybe they are in the wrong job. Please think "very very" hard about this, you don't realise how much this means to your visitors and I'm sure the fantastic Manx people, let alone the Terminus pub. You will forever regret it if you lose it.

I am not an IOM resident but have visited my son there, this is such a quaint feature of the beautiful Island, isnt there any way to generate income to save it - just wondering

This decision needs to be reversed - what price can be put in this unique piece of the island's heritage???

I am Manx although do not live on the island but visit regularly. The horse trams are part of Manx heritage and should certainly not be scrapped.
