The IOM is unique in many ways the horse trams cannot stop I used to live in IOM and still visit the beautiful place I love

This is part of the heritage of the I.O.M

I spend six weeks a year on Mann and use the horse trams frequently. Lose them and you will lose your credibility.

On behalf of Johnsons Coaches who annually bring around 300 visitors to the island by coach, sea & air I am more than happy to sign this petition in the hope that, what on the face of it, appears to be a rather ill thought out and short sighted decision. The Douglas Horse Tramway is a long and trusted tourist attraction on the island. One which has been there for over one hundred years & should in our opinion be there for another hundred. I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiments outlined in the press release and hope that in some small way our voice is heard and that the decision can be overturned before it is too late. Stop sending so much aid money overseas and use it for the people of this island!

Please rethink the decission to close the horse tramway. This unique surviving piece of transport history should be preserved for future generations to come, and be viewed as an attraction that draws people to the Isle of Man from all over the world, as indeed does the entire transport system on the island. The whole scenario seems a liitle Beeching esque, getting rid of all rail transport in favour of the car & bus. Very short sighted, and one day, as with the mainland, these closures will be regretted!!!

i love this attraction in douglas.. i brought my children over and they were always excited to ride on the trams and we would hope their children will also be able to have this experience .

This would be a great loss to the Island. My Manx heritage is extremely important to me and I would hope that the Island wouldn't lose such an iconic attraction.

Closing this would be a huge mistake, one of the key attractions to Douglas. If it wasn't for the horse trams myself and family wouldn't have bothered spending any time or money in Douglas itself when on holiday on the island. The IoM is much more than just the TT, please keep it that way.

This is disgraceful. I work for a Tour Operator - just for groups! and previously prior to their demise Bowen Group Travel. I have always included the Horse Trams in my itineraries and have brought hundreds of people to the Isle of Man. All very satisfied cuastomers

The proposed closure of this unique Tramway is complete folly. My family loved riding on this tramway on our visit to the Isle of Man., and can only speculate on the knock on financial benefits of having this historic attraction within Douglas... Please reconsider and keep the Horse Drawn Trams going!

The horse trams are an important part of the Islands heritage. They are an essential part of what makes the Island unique and they deserve way better than to be disgarded in such an off handed manner by duplicitous underhanded politicians seeking to achieve thier aims by fair means or foul.

This is all part of the charm of the island. Please keep it in place.

Disasterous decision for the island. This is exactly the type of heritage interest which is jealously craved by other destinations.
