As a frequent visitor to the IOM I would miss seeing & riding on the trams. As much a living part of Manx history as the Laxey wheel.

Please don't scrap the trams.. as a tourist it's one of my reasons to visit.

I grew up on the Island and often go back to holiday. I think the horse trams are an integral part of the islands attractions and it should be saved for future generations.

An essential part of the Manx Heritage Transport system attractions. Fondly remembered & used on visits to the Island. Short sighted move. Once gone, lost forever.

My father Gordon Teall lived in the Isle of Man and when we visited him we always loved to travel on the Douglas horse trams. Douglas would lose all its colour and its uniqueness without them.

This line is important as the last place where horse trams run down the ordinary street. It shold be possible to keep it going. I didn't like the plan to rebuild the line on a reservation but that would be better than nothing. Another possibility would be to retain ALL the cars and harnesses for future reuse.

We visit the Island every few years mainly for the transport heritage - simple equation - few attractions = fewer visitors. The tramway should be funded by the Island Government as it benefits the whole Island economy.
