It is getting very dangerous! As a cyclist who commutes to the main train station I cannot count the number of times I have nearly been hit by traffic trying to get out of the junction at The Star. These drivers have been penned in and any opening is aggressively taken, regardless of a cyclist approaching.

Having lived in Dorking for 30 years the congestion has got worse and worse with nothing done to remedy this. It is time for some significant infrastructure improvements.

The traffic syste. on the way one system leading to the bottom of West Street is not working as cars are edging past red lights and blocking other cars

We need to do our best to reduce the traffic perhaps by taking the bus or even walking sometimes & generally being mindful of when we use our cars.

The traffic is horrendous and should be sorted out asap it is unfair on the residents of Dorking as we have to access it to leave our homes and pollution is rife with all the traffic affecting our health

If the council measure the list man hours from waiting traffic and the environmental pollution of the engine fumes it would easily justify a major review. Also when the lights on the A25 approaching Dorking from the west are not working traffic flows better. Just a clue for you

Fully agree with recent press report. Traffic progressively worse over last few years. Hot spots around traffic lights outside Waitrose and Lidl car park entrance.

Totally agree about Dorking traffic. Vincent Lane is diabolical and the lights do not give equal time, those coming from Westcott block the junction regularly allowing just 1 or 2 vehicles through at busy times.
More often than not the traffic eases on the high street so the bottle neck junctions need addressing.

Something needs to be done about the traffic flow through Dorking. Friday lunchtime is especially bad but it seems to be getting equally bad at other times/days.
Perhaps the traffic lights synchronisation could be investigated along with making Junction Road two way again.
I am avoiding the town at times, as I'm sure others are, leading to a loss in business for traders. No wonder we are losing the sort of shops we want.

So fed up with the traffic....it's putting people off coming into the town. Nothings ever done about it because those in charge don't live here.

Had problems for far too long, rid the traffic lights at the end of Vincent lane, never had a problem before when there was a roundabout. Ever noticed when the damn things break down the traffic flows easy !!

Pinch points in Vincent lane should be removed and traffic from station road should have to turn left allowing cars going. To westcott to flow without stopping

I drive through dorking 5 plus times per day maintaining clients gardens and I spend as much time stuck in the traffic as I do working on gardens, this means in my 10 hour day I am only working half of this. I will have to put my costs up. The Traffic problem is beyond belief and costs me wasted time and money.
