Action plan to reduce traffic congestion in Dorking

Living in central Dorking it can be a nightmare trying to negotiate the long queues. Please sort this before any more businesses and residents are effected

Monday took 1hr from Lidl to top tiles - at 8am in the morning . Total joke!!!

Enough is enough. I now avoid trying to get into the town, I only attempt it when I really have no other choice. This cannot be good for trade & commerce in our town.

Need sorting No where for residents to park outside their own home

Council needs this sorted.

The traffic situdation is damaging my business and those of the whole town. Something must be done!!

We have recently moved to Dorking and the traffic is outrageous for such a small town there isn't the infrastructure. Needs sorting!

Please sort out the traffic - a 5 minute journey can take half an hour or more !!

It takes too long to get into dorking via the one way system or Westcott rd. Get rid if the traffic lights West street, as this blocks the flow, put a small zebra crossing . People are not that stupid they need 6traffic lights on that junction to cross a rd.

Please make Dorking a place to visit and less congested!!

I avoid Dorking at all costs now because of the unpredictable traffic jams! Shame cos there are certain shops there I do miss.

Was this not a key Conservative campaign poster headline during the last election? I spent many hours looking at a huge poster for it while trying to drive out of my road onto a gridlocked one way system.

5 minute journeys from westcott taking 30 minutes !!!!

Action needs to be taken now before Dorking become a dead town

I have lived on Longfield Road for over 10 years and the traffic on the one-way is beyond a joke. We have considered moving just to get on the other side of the one-way to avoid the grid-locked roads and get to our destinations on time. There also appears to be no rhyme or reason when it is congested as it is nearly all the time!

I don't drive myself but I can see what a nightmare it is for motorists .Westcott road is getting much to much congestion not good for the Heath of the families that are walking along this road or the people that live in the houses

It's about time the Council made traffic congestion a priority as it has been tinkering about with it for years!
