The state of Iowa has recently passed a law that stated hunters can shoot doves for target practice. Nature believers are very against this law because doves are not over populating Iowa (commonly mistaken for pigeons), they are te symbols of peace, and are causing no harm to the environment. Doves are a native species in Iowa, unlike the English Sparrow, which is over populating the state and is not a protected species. We would like to have this law vetoed, or changed to a different bird species (English Sparrow).
