Terrible news. These are vital NHS staff and must be kept employed within our NHS, not outsourced.

I have worked for Leeds Teaching Hospital for just over twenty three years. I remember the dangling of the carrot in 2008, and am not prepared to be ripped off again, by Agenda For Change. We just can not let them take our pensions, wages and holliday away from us

Existing NS staff are people not members of a flock of sheep.

I have lived for years in USA. Do not go down their path. The American insurance companies have been waiting many years to get their hands on the NHS ie. Unlimited government tax money to be paid to them. Ill health should not be an industry for profit.

We need to retain our dedicated NHs staff with proper government funding and NOT allow profit-making bodies to impinge on their salaries

Outsourcing essential workers is privatisation by the back door. Like PFI devised to keep costs off the Treasury's books this short term VAT gain for the Trusts is a smoke screen, hiding the eventual move to private companies. None of the enforced outsourcing and competitive tendering has ever been shown to be of long term benefit. As Polly Toynbee shows in her Opinion column in The Guardian, Monday 26.03.2018 there has been neither research nor evidence to show such moves are even cost effective or value for money. "....long term risk is never outsourced". Our NHS was built on family values of fairness and cooperation and appreciation of work done at all levels. These plans are wholly divisive and destructive of what we, the public, value most- our NHS.

Privatisation of our NHS is becoming more and more obvious. Loyal NHS staff deserve better than this.

All staff who work in the NHS should be treated like the invaluable members of staff that they are. No to privatisation.

Happened to me some years ago when BT sold off the group I was working in. Regardless of TUPE, after a while they tell you the new company is not making enough profit and get the employees to 'voluntarily' sign away their protected terms and conditions under the threat of redundancies. New employees get poorer pay etc. causing resentment. I suspect it will eventually be sold on to some other owner and terms and conditions slide again. It's all about privatisation and saving money. Ideology before staff welfare. The one thing the union must do is advertise this to everyone to gather support. That's vital.
