James is, and has always been, the most courteous, respectful young man. He has had more than his share of obstacles to overcome- none other than this one of his own making. He doesnt deaerve to have to go to prison when he has accepted and owned his part in this situation. I could go on and point out what the 2 boys did to him- or, at least one of the 2 boys. But, that would make this bbn petition about them, and thats not what i want to do. All i want to do is to let everyone out there know what a sweet boy James is. If you dont know him, then youve missed out on one of Gods angels on earth. Yes, he lost his way for a split second. But he is truly trying to make the necessary changes that he needs to make. Not only because of facing prison time, but just because he is a genuinly good person who deserves a second chance more than most of the people out there who actually get one. So, if you dont know him, please find someone who does and just ask them about him. Youll be truly amazed! And, please sign and share this petition and help me save my amazing nephew. Thankyou.

I don’t care if he was the absolute worst kid on the planet... the key word there is kid. Kids make mistakes and they learn from them and grow. Nobody is perfect and we all mess up. Some people more than others and that is where the law comes in but surely they would know better than to put a 17 year old KID in prison when there are other ways for it to be handled. Especially if it is a first offense. That is setting him up for more failure than a person should ever have to go through for one mistake they made before they have even reached a full range of mental maturity.

I think me and the community believe that he should be accepted for youthful offender and also be placed on some type of color code. The reason being....
Youthful offender- automatically gets two years of state parol and probation. While on state probation and parole he will have to complete every single visit to make sure he is staying on track with his life including him paying fines and of course Court cost and the cost of the p.o officer visit. State parol demands of an individual to obtain a stable job and stay on track. If he were to violate his parole and probation terms he will have to do every single day in prison including living paying all fines and he won’t be able to obtain a reasonable job or a lot of things that an everyday person needs to survive in this day time which would probably lead to him doing ignorant things again because he won’t be able to obtain a job an exc. with that being said he would understand the crime he commuted , the severity of the crime, accept his consequences and learn from his mistakes so that he may have a chance in life not to mention his young age he probably wouldn’t make it out of a state correctional facility.
& color code to insure he is not traveling down the wrong road doing the things that lead him to this crime - this being for the court or whom ever it may concern assuring them that he is not just some punk ignoarant child that doesn’t care about him self in other words a menis to society..
On the negative note: if he was to be sentenced/convicted on this crime. At his young age even in a low dangerous rated correction facility he would be tortured and taken advantages of and that’s if he was to make it out of the correction facility alive. Also the felony charge would be on his record for life which means he wouldn’t be able to 95% of jobs that the United state offers wouldn’t qualify for self protection would t be able to leave the country wouldn’t be able to even obtain a low paying job in most cases

Any should always have a second chance and i hope this teaches everyone a lesson that u shouldn't do drugs and if u do u need to stop bc it runies lives but u deserve a second chance and idk u but anyone should have a second chance
