I believe they should be punished, but not prison at this age. These young boys would be prey for some of the criminals in our system. We have some of the worst prisons in the country. They are barely short of concentration camps.

drugs or pretty hardcore and your mind thinks an does differently, most definetly wouldn’t have done it if it weren’t for the drugs, but you guys fight for what’s right an wrong, just drugs have a major impact on life an the brain if he’s straightened up and not been using illegal drugs then maybe colorcode for year n a half or longer, because then that shows he’s doing better.

If he 17 he'll get youthful offender. And should be able to get it expunged afterwards.now he doesn't need to be punished the rest of his life but he does have to pay the consequences for actions he has done.

People make mistakes. Gods given everyone a second chance so let my boy have one. He made a mistake like we all do this one was just a lil bigger. Grant forgiveness and see where he’ll take him I promise you!!!

We ask for mercy from the court. Please do something short of prison so they get the message yet are not confined with hardened criminals.

These boys need serous rehabilitation, not the "education" they would receive in prison.

James has always been a respectable young man! Drugs was a huge factor in what caused him for his actions! He needs rehabilitation not prison! Youthful offender would be great for him! Give him that chance to clear his name without felonies!

I would want someone to stand up for my son if this was me. He deserves a second chance. We all make mistakes.

James is a great kid, and I just want him to be given a chance to show everyone he will be a very productive member of society.
