do not send these young boys to prison to become damaged instead put them in a boys school or camp for rehabilitation if when they come out and if they reoffend then determine the prison option

I don't know either of them, but instead of prison, I think military would be in order, let them go military. And make something out of themselves.

I don’t think putting them in prison is the answer. They definitely need a strong structured a program(s) that would teach them how to succeed with by example. Having men that were once were these boy find themselves now. Men who had strong mentors to teach, lead, them and show them they can have a successful future.

A Bad decision, which we have all made at some time in our life, should not ruin an entire future for these boys. Despite the drugs, their minds have not matured yet. Get them the rehabilitation they need and give them a chance in life. Let’s work harder to get rid of the drugs that ruin lives of our friends and family. God help us each and every one!!!!

Kids name stupid choices and even worse under the influence! I pray that they see their misguided ways and Tuen their paths! No I don’t believe jail is the answer! Maybe a Christian FCA camp. I pray for God to guide these young men. I also pray for their families!!

Praying that the boys get help for their issues to set them up to be positive and contributing members of society and not just condemn them to a punishment that won’t deal with the root causes of the behavior but only lead to a hardened mentality, causing more damage.

I feel a child should not be detained with grown men. We have juvenile jails for this reason. We need to house our youth together. You would not put a grown man with a child? Right? Something to consider with this child of 17 who in the eyes of the law (law books) written he is under age. Thank you, Lori Sterling

Every aspiring young man deserves a second chance at the pursuit of happiness. Not all roads taken are the right one. A shock of reality is what these boys needed and they most definitely received that. This decision is life changing. Grant them their freedom and watch them succeed.

It is hard for me to know circumstances when not present. Benefit of doubt should go to the minor, with involved & concerned parents, until the FULL story is disclosed.

This boy is so much then what this makes him out to be he was at the wrong place at the wrong time and not in the state of mind at the time. where is anyone at to judge a young boy and his mistakes.

This young man made a bad choice at what he did. He does not need to become another statistic. Alabama needs to try to rehabilitate not put the young in jail and throw away the key.
