I've been on exchange through Rotary for two exchanges, and I can fully say that it's easy to make mistakes as an exchange student, especially if Rotary and the family aren't communicating well with the student. These seem to be small problems, definitely not enough reason to send a student home. Please reconsider; exchange students aren't perfect, and I'm sure this student is trying their hardest.

Misconceptions and miscommunication does not always equal misconduct. Surely, there is a better option, I urge you to try a more diplomatic solution.

Every student should be allowed to spend as much time abroad as possible, don't send him home, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
He's a teenager, of course he is not always going to behave perfectly well, give him a chance!

Well, I was an exchange student and I've missed so many days of school (not that I'm saying that it's a correct attitude). Sure, after missing 2 or 3 weeks in total, they wanted to send me away too, so I understand in what position Manu is in. Just keep being positive! Btw, 2 days?? Really?? Well, then people can really be quite judgemental... -_-

All the exchange students have mistakes and is normal, I had so many and I'm so grateful with my club because now I'm better than when I came. The exchange is for learn, and with the mistakes is the best option for learn other culture and have more experience. I'm exchange student in Germany and I'm from Mexico; Germany is a strict country but not for that I need to come back when I do something wrong

Being sent home for missing two days of school is just ridiculous, this exchange student didn't even break any rule.
Todos cometemos errores.
