Don't roll back the closing time for bars & restaurants

Why have a closing time. Perhaps if there were not a 4 am closing, bars would not feel the need to stay open until 4.

Restaurants and Bars relay on these extra 2 hours to bring in business. If a Bar/Restaurant wants to close at 2am then they have the right to do so currently. Buffalo should focus on helping to bring Uber to Buffalo/Erie Country/NYS.

Allowing bars to remain open until 4, leaves 2 extra hours of business for everyone involved. People are used to patronizing businesses until 4am, and between 2am and 4am, from personal experience, is often when some establishments get MORE business. If drunk driving is really the primary concern here, which is obviously a great thing to try to reduce, changing bar times is not going to influence that. It's not. Putting better programs in place to discourage people from drunk driving will, perhaps turn efforts into coming up with solutions on that vein instead of removing one of things that sets a newly re-flourishing Buffalo apart.

Keep em open!

There is no reason for this change. How about we get Uber in Buffalo. How about we expand the metro and extend its hours.

Do NOT change the 4am closing time.

Let business owners and the people make their own decisions on how they want to run their lives and businesses.

Keep the responsibility in the hands of the bar owners and individuals. This is a part of our city and region, just leave it alone and worry about a real problem.

I like visiting and staying over in Buffalo because of its wonderful night live an extended bar hours. It is one of the bigger attractions in upstate New York. Closing the bars earlier would certainly deter me from visiting Buffalo as often as I do.

Please DO NOT VOTE TO CLOSE at 2:00 A.M. ! As a city there are more urgent and pressing matters to vote on, this shouldn't have even been brought to the table. I think you will be surprised how much money is made locally in the late night hours between bars, restaurants, transportation, gas stations, etc. Erie County staying open until 4 AM is a badge of honor that we take for granted. DO NOT repeal it to 2 AM! Here's an idea-keep the buses going past 12:30am for crying out loud NFTA!

While I generally do not stay out drinking until 4 am, the plan to change the time to 2 am is pointless. We need better services for individuals with substance abuse issues and better transportation alternatives for those who wanted to have a night out. This will only hurt business that contribute to our tax base.

The 4 am closing time is integral for Buffalo image as a lively 24 hour city. Bars won't be the only ones affected by this measure. Restaurants and supermarkets will also start to close earlier. We just need to look to Boston to find a city (a much larger city mind you) with very few late night eateries and a severe lack of 24 hour supermarkets. Forcing drunks out onto the street without as long of a cool down time to sober up has the potential to increase the DWI rate, not to mention increase the number of domestic disturbances as partners will just move to private residences to continue drinking.

There is no reason to close bars at 2 a.m. it just makes it worse cuz people will drink faster and end up and more accidents then we already have it will double

If something is not broke done fix it. This a gamble again people's livelihood.
