As a visitor from the UK I can categorically state that I would not have visited Abingdon and the Creeper trail if this monstrosity had been in place spoiling this beautiful part of the town. There seemed to be many other places near the interstate where this kind of development belongs

We don't need precious areas used by someone who can locate a store anywhere. The whole being of abingdon is is beauty and tranquility. No store is worth that

We have plenty of abandoned properties in Abingdon that could be re-used for commercial space.

Much of the money for this development comes from the pockets of those who shop at Food City. Vote with your wallet! Shop at local farmer's markets!

This is the opposite of what is drawing people to the trail. If the rezone and subsequent construction occur, I and my family will opt of other trails in other towns. Probably along the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC.

Not only will this development ruin the views from the Creeper Trail but it will ruin an historic site -- The Meadows, home to a Virginia Governor and Civil War and WWII heroes.

Chains kill the culture of a city! Abingdon needs to be different or it will be the same as every other town that has sold out to freakin Applebee's! Don't do it!
