Resident of Abingdon, VA. I do not want this to happen. It's completely unnecessary and will harm the area more than benefit. I fear the local and historical businesses will not be preserved and this will ruin our community. We already have three strip malls that are failing... Do we really need another one???

It would be a shame to ruin this beautiful, tranquil land.

This trail is one-of-a-kind and a major attraction for those who love and support the trails of the Appalachians. As our world continues to urbanize we must recognize and protect these precious natural resources.

Just say NO to development on the Creeper Trail! Why do you want to ruin it? Do you understand the reason so many people like it is because AH like you have NOT developed it?

We love to stop and ride the trail. We love to stay over nearby and enjoy the restaurants and tranquility. Please preserve the Virginia Creeper!

This trail is a beautiful attraction for Abingdon. It brought us there -- all the way from Florida! Please preserve the trail! Thanks.

The Creeper Trail is one of the few vestiges of enjoyment I get from this region. Please keep it intact.

DO NOT let "progress" ruin this beautiful area. The people need this kind of recreation for the family. PRESERVE, PRESERVE.

This is a bad idea, it would change the creeper trailer for the worse.

We have enough empty shopping centers in the area that can't be supported by the local population. Traffic at exit 17 is already a nightmare. The Creeper Trail is a treasure and economic factor for locals that needs protection.

I am sure there is land somewhere that this development company can find besides here. It would definitely take away from the beauty and tranquility of the trail....
