We need to loudly play the song, "THEY PAVED PARADISE AND PUT UP A PARKING LOT" at every entrance before and during the city council meeting so all can hear it.

Traffic at exit 17 is bad enough now. We don't need a new Food City and hotels, etc.

Please keep dome beautiful land...natural/unpaved for creatues/humans the was created...there is plenty of already paved/developed properties

We are 27 year frequent visitors to Abingdon from West Virginia. The Creeper Trail is always on our to do list and one of the best trails we have hiked and biked. The appeal of the trail is its tranquil and uncommercial environment and nature abounds all along the trail. Allowing commercialism to invade this unique and beloved trail would be disappointing while depleting a part of Abingdon's historical nature. Surely there is a better location for the proposed cookie cutter commercialism that is threatening the trails beauty. Please say NO to the rezoning.

The Virginia Creeper Trail is a sacred place - and should not bee harmed. We should project this land and the surrounding property that borders the trail for the present and future generations. Some things are important to our culture and spirit. We are stewards who must project the beauty and resources of our town. I am amazed that this is even a subject that is of debate. Shoney's showed concern for the building of a new restaurant on their property. I am confused as to why Food City does not follow this format.

I grew up hiking on the Creeper Trail and it breaks my heart that the town of Abingdon would consider rezoning.

The VC is a regional treasure unique to this area, with significant economic benefit. If this proposed commercial development goes forward, at least please require a buffer zone separation between the VC and this suburban eyesore. Thanks from a longtime VC fan and user.
