Don't Raise Parking Rates at Tennessee Tech

The students do not support this and this school is made by the students and for the students.

This is ridiculous!!

I shouldn't have to pay for a parking garage that I won't be here to use.

I think an increase is definitely reasonable but $70+ Per semester is not reasonable.

The logic behind this is ridiculous. Why would Tech not be responsible and budget the money just like your typical company? Why should you be charging students now for something used years from now? Just another reason SGA is important and an effiencent one at that.

If you are going to raise parking fees ,then the school needs to naked sure students know the rules.

-16% drop in enrollment and yet were most concerned with parking. Wth?

This is stupid, and just money grabbing by a university. They've taken countless amount of money from students for useless things. Tech is money first, education second.

I will only be on campus two days of the week this fall for classes. The price isn't worth that.

With most students already struggling to afford not only the education here at TTU and the cost of living for students, this is a ridiculous move made by the administration. Perhaps the President would be willing to reduce his pay to have new parking set up? Yeah, I didn't think so. I guess it is easy to forget what struggles are when you are looking down on the others around you.

I shouldn't have to pay half of my monthly rent to PARK at school.

I'm not even going to Tech, but I think the parking price is absolutely outrageous! Think about the students who are just barely getting by and can hardly put gas in their cars, food in their mouths, and struggle enough from tuition. TTU, this is unacceptable. Think about the students!!

I don't care about price but dictating where I can park is bad enough already, and the staff need to be by their buildings some can't walk far!!!!

It would be really neat if Tech actually cared about student input, since, you know, college is for students and we're actually the ones affected by all the ridiculous decisions Tech is making,

I am not pleased with the hike in price for a parking permit for incoming students. I am changing schools but it still isn't fair to raise the prices.

This is nuts.

There's no reason to do this. Also, you should let the students vote on what happens with the campus, considering we're the ones who pay thousands of dollars a year to go here.
