Very disappointed on SHA’s stance on removing the Melville Prairie Fire. It is a vindictive move by members of the board and comes down to big center bullying. SHA’s objective is suppose to increase hockey participation in a positive way, not eliminate. And the excuses they’ve provided are lame and have little validity.

a phenominal program ran by great people in an amazing town. Where will girls in the eastern part of the province get opportunities to play? Not sure how subtracting opportunities builds the female game

The Melville Prairie Fire is a viable and competitive Sask female midget AAA hockey team. Shame on SHA for discriminating against female hockey and rural communities.

Don’t reduce the opportunities for our female hockey athletes. Without this program lots of females will drop out of the program due to the amount of travel. Let’s keep our female athletes in the sport and give them they same opportunities as male athletes in the sport.

My daughter played for the fire for 3 years and it was the best organization we have ever been apart of. The coaches the community are all top shelf

"The SHA’s mandate is to sustain the viability of hockey in our province that includes both maintaining what we have and growing the game for new participants. The way we do this is by building capacity in minor hockey associations." Sure wish this was true for this team..

Support the Prairie fire and Sask Female hockey. Unexceptable that a well functioning club with lots of support is being forced to close down. Open your eyes SHA and let our girls play hockey.
