A school dress code that is only effective when it comes to girls who aren’t even trying to be a distraction and instead just wear what they like is sexism.

school wonders why pupils are often down and unenthusiastic about school, well we can’t express our personalities. We can’t express ourselfs through physical presentation only verbal, therefore pupils will voice their personalities. We are being put into a group where we are all the same, but we aren’t. We are being forced to be people we aren’t. What if your transgender, male to female? The school really supports it but imagine being put into either a skirt that is “too short” and feel uncomfortable with being picked out of class and being made into a big deal, or wearing trousers where you clearly look like a man when you feel a female, that’s got to be soul destroying, which no one should suffer. I’m not saying scrap uniform, but there’s ways that the school need to adapt to help aid people. Sorry for the rant, it’s just hard to accept :) -year 11 student

I’m leaving this school soon and I’m glad, the real issue here is the sexualisation of children, and encouraging young people to do the same- if boys are told it’s ok to be destracted and objectify women we are only perpetuating the sexism that’s already woven into society

My daughter just wants to feel comfortable at school and having teachers shame her and the rest of her year for wearing the uniform provided is outrageous. Teachers sexualising teens is unacceptavke and also it’d be nice if you sorted out the more important things such as keeping PE lessons away from gcse exams. Aight looking good for cvc’s reputation, mr law you need to get your act together buddy

The current head of year 11 and other assistant teachers to the year repeatedly make insensitive or downright rude remarks that degrade their students and make them increasingly self-concious.
Personally, I wear the school provided trousers and have been told by the same teacher numerous times that they are very tight and I must have "got lucky" with the fit. I have also been told to buy new ones due to the slight colour fade from frequent washing. Does the school want us to spend more money on uniform than textbooks?
My peers and I feel as though we have to hide from their teachers as to avoid punishment that is wholly unjust. This combination of terribly designed uniform and unresponsive, irresponsible leadership is making Comberton Village College into an unbearable environment that makes its pupils dread going to school.

Can we just wear non uniform like the 6th formers? It would make life a lot easier.
