I fish your lake, if you kill most or all the grass and cover ,the lake will louse oxygen and you will lose all fish in that area. The water will not be safe for use.

This course should not be pursued unless and until it can be demonstrated to be fully safe, effective and harmless for Candlewood residents, visitors, and the full lake ecosystem.

No entity should put any chemicals into Candlewood Lake without rigorous review by the CLA.
We also have bald eagles feeding from the lake and the town of New Fairfield could be in violation of federal law if it exposes them to herbicides and algaecides.

Unfair for one town to proceed in endangering all the towns. I vigorously oppose use of herbicides and algaecides.

You will destroy your fishing in the lake if you do this. Consult real biologists, and fisheries experts first!

Herbicides and algaecides do not just kill the targeted vegetation. They kill the native plants, fish, frogs and beneficial insects as well.
Please do not pollute Candlewood Lake
