There are enough toxins in our lake.

The decision to use these herbicides and algaecides is just one more example of New Fairfield's board of selectmen going rogue. They reject the scientific facts and the sound practices of clean and healthy ecological stewardship proposed by the CLA, because they oppose the CLA. When will the good citizens of New Fairfield realize that their town government has misled them once again.

Without mutual consent from all involved parties (other towns, state agencies, property owners on and near the water, etc) this is,in my view, a hasty and potentially dangerous measure. This body of water contributes to the local economy (and ecology) and to taint it without appropriate research I feel is irresponsible

I call for New Fairfield to respect Candlewood Lake Authority's expertise in this area and put a halt to this planned disruptive herbicide program.

This is an Outrage! Absolutely NOT Acceptable! Candlewoods Eco System is Much more Important to the Environment than a Bunch of Rich Bithes that cant Handle Swimming in the Water! If this Happens I will file a Class Action Lawsuit!

As a resident who lives on the lake I am disgusted that you would even consider this we all swim through weeds if you don't like it use a rake and collect them then burn them like the rest of us

There's other ways to handle the weed control than using poisons. It may not be cheap but the reprocutions for using poison in the lake would mean it would kill off the fish and as well people wouldn't be able to eat the fish the catch because of the harmful chemicals they ingest! Please no poisons!

What a shame. That process has just about killed other lakes.
