This is absolutely absurd. Our entire earth is being poisoned. Where is the love and compassion for all living creatures. You have got to be kidding. Because of weeds? It's our job to protect all our natural resources for the generations to come. How does the possibility of something like this even happen?

When it comes to the lake, I believe all towns and stakeholders need to discuss positive and negative effects of anything that is proposed that will change the ecology of the lake before acting.

This is a short-sighted policy that could have a terribly negative and long-term impact on our beautiful lake. I'm equally disturbed that New Fairfield's leadership is taking a "go it alone" attitude towards solving Candlewood Lake's environmental issues. I urge New Fairfield's BOS to reconsider.

Not worth risk: too many unknowns, past misfires, better options exist, partners ignored, lack of confidence in NF administration

If this will protect the lake, just a little tiny bit of copper sulfate and agent orange, year after year after year, ... they should ease up on all those costly local environmental regulations. Let home owners and business owners build as much as they want, use as much fertilizer as they want, do away with their septic systems, let them pump the raw sewage into the lake.
I am a NF resident but this is NOT my Board of Selectmen.
