Agree with the comment that 'the lake is not a swimming pool to be controlled by chemicals". Let Mother Nature take her course.

Please don't kill the wildlife in Candlewood Lake. There are safer alternative methods to get rid of the blue green algae.

That's one lake that doesn't deserved to be ruined for sure. What else can we ruin in this state??

Years ago I know they would drain the lake 15 to 18 feet down for the winter which would kill all the shallower weeds why don't they do that still

Herbicides may be effective in smaller bodies of water, but not Candlewood.

No input...no herbicides...Transparency and CLA is the way to go.

Do not poison the lake with more chemicals! Once it, they can't be removed. Too much work has been done to try to mitigate runoff into the lake to see our own towns be responsible for dumping in herbicides. Find an alternative!!

I'd prefer not to introduce copper sulfate into the water at all and fear what would happen if other towns did the same. Please work with all the towns to apply a holistic and safe approach. Can we give the carp a chance and introduce more?

Thank you for your time and efforts. We are presently far away in Hawaii but we support your concerns, aware that chemicals were considered and turned down years ago.

I am opposed to the use of chemicals in Candlewood Lake, which New Fairfield shares with 4 other towns. Surely there is a better solution.
