I am an environmental student at Rowan University in New Jersey and although I haven't finished my studies yet, I know enough to say that pesticides is definitely a bad idea. There is most likely a more natural solution to the problem. They may be able to introduce an organism which eats the algae or which will somehow manage the growth of it but pesticides are never a good idea.

Please realize that what you are doing is absolutely going to impact the lake and fishing . Candlewood lake is one of the best fishing in the country for smallmouth and this program can absolutely hinder the amount of fisherman coming to candlewood. This would NOT be a good business decision!

Do the lake, its residents, and the fishermen a favor and do not destroy the ecosystem of the very beautiful Candlewood Lake. That grass is a vital part of the ecosystem now and it provides a lot of shelter for numerous types of aquatic life.

This will destroy this lake. There are local businesses that depend on that fishery and you will destroy thoughs small companies due to the fact you will ruin this fishery if you out these chemicals in the lake. There is never a good outcome to these chemical treatments! Please do not do this!

Chemical weed control severely impacted the food chain and fishery at Mamanasco Lake in Ridgefield, CT. Use alternative approaches first to minimize ecological impact.

I disagree with chemical use and think our resource is much too valuable to risk ruining it. Stick with carp program. I live in new milford and have been boating on lake as well as bass fishing for 30+ years

We come up from Chesapeake Va every spring because of the fishery. If this impacts the fishery and many think it will then we will take our tourist/fishing dollars somewhere else.

keep toxic chemicals& herbisides out of one of the most heavily-fished waters in this state!-Science+ sound managementpractices should prevail over irresponsible, reactionary "solutions" which will cause signifigantly more harm than good!
