Many lakes in my home state of MN have been ruined from chemicals, so I'm deciding to take a stand for this lake even if I don't fish there

Natural remedies are less likely to have unintended consequences. If there are alternatives to poisoning the lake with chemicals, why not try them?! This action effects so many and will for generations to come. All options need consideration. Please use good judgment...poison is not a healthy choice.

in addition to being very concerned about dumping chemicals into "our" lake, I can't help but wonder why our town of New Fairfield has unilaterally decided to take this action when for the past years it has chosen to be so non-supportive of and resistant to the work of our CLA?

Natural remedies (carp) are more suitable for controlling milfoil and excessive algae. Chemical weapons aren't the answer.
