Candlewood is a vey beautiful and diverse lake and is a phenomenal fishery. By implementing chemicals into such a small and fragile lake with the goal of eliminating it's aquatic grass would surely have a detrimental effect on the ecosystem and it's aquatic life/fish therein. The adverse effects would certainly outweigh the perceived potential benefits and we as human beings whom have dominion over the land and it's waters, as conservationists, preservationists, and overseers of our natural resources have an obligation and duty to protect said valuable resources and all that inhabit them therein. I respectfully sign this petition in good faith that the terms of this petition and our voice and concerns are heard, acknowledged and executed accordingly as such.

This is a huge injustice that is being pushed by people without an idea of the possible outcome. Many beautiful bodies of water, like Candlewood, have been deviststed by uneducated people using highly caustic materials I order to meet a short term goal. No concern for the future effects on the fragile ecosystem at all just instant gratification on a self serving task.

"Nuking" a lake with chemicals has always had a negative affect on wildlife/all fish. We just put in all those grass carp! Talk about impatient lakeside residents....

Think about things before you act on this. It will cost the county money. Fisherman from all over the country visit this lake and they would not be there making the county money without the lake and its fishery.

I tried the country fishing tournaments on many different lakes. I've fished Guntersville, Kentucky Lake, chickamaga Lake, etc,. This is the Guntersville of the north. Candlewood is a special lake where you can catch 30 pounds on 5 bass and that's unheard of in the north. Don't destroy this amazing fishery.
