Don't poison Candlewood Lake

I have been fishing Candlewood lake for almost 20 years and it is an amazing fishery..I spend thousands of dollars every year in CT fishing the lake, as well as hundreds of other anglers..My club alone spent about $20,000 last year, in gas, hotels, restaurants, tackle shops, walmart, and in fishing licenses...You stand to lost this money and allot more if you allow this pesticide to be put into the lake..If the fishery goes down hill, nobody will come back to fish it..We will just bring out money to of states like NY

Please don't poison Candlewood Lake!!!!!

These chemicals WILL affect the fishing and the fish's health.

Don't put any chemicals in that lake or any other body of water. Chemicals only kills. Seen it on many lakes.

Leave the lake alone!

Please stop this from happening. On my home lake they have been doing this for a few years ,and its always followed by a large fish kill. This will destroy the ecosystems ballance in the lake. All fish, birds,reptiles and animals that survive in the lake will be effected. There are other safer ways of controlling vegetation . Thank you James cook

My Father and I fish Candlewood every year. It is a phenomenal fishery. The ecosystem does not need any human intervention. Destruction of this wonderful lake would be a travesty. Do not treat this body of water like it's a backyard pool.

This will destroy an amazing fishery, I'm from New Jersey and enjoy coming up there for a week each spring to fish some of the best fishing anywhere! Think about the revenue the community would lose if this fishery dies off, it's not just about the fish it's about the community as well

This will ruin the fishery and cause further problems with the ecosystem and biodiversity. Nothing good has ever come out of adding pesticides to a lake.

Save Candlewood!

I am not the least bit comfortable with the idea of pouring pesticides into the lake.

Don't do it, just like he mentioned, it's never a good outcome adding chemicals. It's not natural. The fishery will be lost by doing so. DONT DO IT!

If the residents were at least asked first I might. E ok with it

This is just another way to keep fisherman off the most beautiful lake we have in the region.Most of the resident folks who are fortunate enough to own these well manicured and "over fertilized"landscapes,should allow nature to bring back the lake to a less weed invasive system.Its common sense,fertilizers grow grass,"even under water"after rain runs it off your lawns,into "your lake".Check out statistics from lake Pocotopaug in E.Hampton,it gets a vile and profound form of a green algae bloom that reeks ,how would you like that, instead of seeing a few fisherman quietly enjoying a nice day, and sometime getting excited over a beautiful trout or bass on the end of a line? Try letting the grass carp do some chewing first if the other recommended remedies are out of the question,A natural way is always best first..Thank ,the DeMinos..
