Don't poison Candlewood Lake

I am not a resident of Candlewood, but I have friends on there and use the lake with them seasonally. Don't take a shortcut on maintenance by dumping toxic chemicals into this beautiful lake.

Please don't put chemicals in Candlewood lake. They do nothing but destroy our fisheries. Fish matter as well. Candlewood Lake is one of the best if not the best in New England. Please think about this in a whole. Killing the vegetation will kill Candlewood Lake. Thank you Scott Garrison 8604598287

I agree. The lake should be managed without the use of poisons. This is a great fishing lake. Don't mess with the ecosystem with chemicals. Let the carp do their thing.

Please reconsider the pesticide. It will ruin a great fishery.

Do not poison Candlewood Lake or any other lake in Connecticut. Those poisons don't go away, they are residual and stay in the environment and in the fish as well. Lord knows we already have too many chemicals in our lives already and there are other successful methods of weed control. Weeds do have a place in our lakes as they filter out impurities and create oxygen for the fish to thrive. No poisons and no chemicals please. It will come back to haunt us for continuing to kill out lake environments.

I am not a Connecticut resident but I am very fond of Candlewood Lake fishing. There are many non-chemical options available to control lake vegetation. I will be more than happy support your cause.
