An anonymous "dark money" group - the Arizona Free Enterprise Club - is working to pass a ballot initiative that will eliminate a temporary increase on sales-tax originally put in place to help Glendale in its financial recovery.
If Glendale loses this revenue, there will be job cuts in public safety, longer emergency response times and higher crime rates.
We believe that only Glendale residents - not anonymous groups - should not be allowed to initiate ballot measures in Glendale. Tell the Arizona Free Enterprise Club and other outside special interest groups to stay out of our government. Sign our petition.

I have officially filed a formal inquiry with the city clerk to verify the funding sources behind this ballot initiative. We are currently drafting a legal memorandum to outline the impact of these tax cuts on emergency response staffing. Expect a summary of the city council's response to these inquiries in the coming days.

The signatures gathered so far provide the necessary leverage to demand a meeting with city council members regarding the impact of this ballot initiative. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the Arizona Free Enterprise Club to notify them that our community is officially monitoring their activities.

Stop the cuts. My family lives here and we dont need these people wrecking our city budget for their own agenda.
Ridiculous that outsiders think they can just mess with our safety. We pay for these services because we need them. Leave our tax money where it belongs.
