This kind/magnitude of project at this location will, over a comparatively short period of time, finish off the salmon in the Alberni Inlet/Somass/Sproat-Great Central Lake system. If there are other industrial projects for the Inlet, such as a transshipment hub and a coal port in Port Alberni, the entire system will be wrecked. Are we ready for that? Will we accept that level of cultural and environmental destruction?

it is unreasonable to consider Giant Ships entering Trevor Channel (Barkley Sound). Giant Ships which require Giant Ocean Going Tugs to assist them to maneuver. Sarita Bay is too small to consider constructing docks to accommodate the Ships this size. West Coast Storms will further complicate matters..

By entertaining the idea of allowing the development of a local LNG plant and inviting a direct pipeline to our coast has the Huu-ay-aht turned its back on developing a sustainable local resource based economy? You cannot have both.

I share concerns about the impact both in the building and in the longterm potential for a disastrous spill in this area. I live in Victoria but am a regualr visitor to Bamfield and I appreciate the intact ecosystem that exists there..

I agree with Neil "Natural beauty should be preserved like a monument to nature..." why not let the spectacular beauty of the area provide the jobs in the Tourism sector

Iam not a Huu ay aht, however I am a human been who loves the land the way it is. The LNG will change forever the face of the land & scar the ocean, leaving not much more than memories. Those are my thoughts as one who cannot vote on this issue.

To think that you can build this disaster waiting to happen without war is foolish. It is sad that the people of China are in need of our mothers resources, however they have mad their bed. They are one of the largest earth polluters on the planet with all the junk plastic garbage that gets shipped all over the world. Solar power and other gentler, less evasive ways of generating power are available. Think!!! Where will civilization be with this mass destruction? You know not what you do. I pray we the people stop this insanity and save mother earth from this pollution! I pray for peace. We the people are willing to work towards a solution to the world stuation. Five of Canada's top universities have chosen this location as the site of their research facility specifically for the untouched nature of the aquatic environment. The introduction of this LNG plant will damage the terrestrial, freshwater and oceanic habitats that the residents, researchers and young inquiring minds hold so dear. Is money worth it?

This marine ecosystem is a pristine and essential site for much marine research. It is here that we can study organisms in their natural setting. Without this location, we have no way of knowing what influence we have on the marine ecosystem, and what is necessary for a healthy ocean that gives oxygen to the world and food to the people who depend upon it.

Our peoplee have lived in this territory for centuries. Despite the interference of government thet have taken care of these lands and waters that effect all life that the waters touch. Our people know about hishukish cawalk, everything is one. We have been taught that we are only one small part of a large life system .
