One of the reasons I was happy with this school being where my child starts his schooling this next year is because of the principals amazing background. With how horrible the world is today I felt my child would have a good chance of being safe at this school. I am deeply saddened by hearing this horrible news and am 100% supportive of this petition.

Sorely disappointed in the lack of communication as to why this is occurring. Chris has always been a positive force at Oxbow and the kids love him!

This is devastating news. I cant believe this is the first we are hearing about it. We need to have information presented to us this isnt a decision for them to make without the community having any say in the matter

No comment needed really because WE all know what Mr. McAuliffe has been to Oxbow and the school system, the community and kids who still talk about him as that person in their life. Absolutely detrimental to remove him!!! I could go on and on and on about his accolades and greatness but WE alllll already know this... Don’t we

As a soon to be a first time kindergarten parent in the fall, I chose Oxbow through SOC because of Chris and the staff at Oxbow. I have seen Chris do so many great things for Oxbow and the students/families there. I was looking forward to my son’s experience at Oxbow with Chris as principal. Oxbow is such a wonderful school with the feeling as everyone is family, without Chris, our family at Oxbow would be broken.

He taught me in 5th grade (treated me as he treated his own children) and served as the Dean of Students my first year of high school. Phenomenal person with a lot of character who pours his heart into everything he does. If anything, he is OVER-qualified to work in HVS.

Transparency is needed. There is no excuse to put children on the back burner when it comes to their safety and education at an elementary school. Leave the politics out of it- handle that professionally. Teachers AND administrators should be putting these kids first. If they wont, they shouldn’t be part of our district. Award winning my ***. How is our school supposed to retain students when the staff are at each others throats!?

Our family has been part of the Oxbow community for 7 years now and will be for another 6 years as our youngest is entering kindergarten in the fall. Over these past years we've been shown that Oxbow is so much more a family than just a school. Mr. McAuliffe is an immeasurable reason for this caring, nurturing and supportive environment. He is adored, trusted and respected by students, families and staff alike. Mr. McAuliffe has done so much over the years to continually improve the school and its community for our students. He always has their best interests in mind and that's what is most important after all. He strives to not only be the leader of our school but a true supporter of all students, on their good days and bad. To lose him would be a devastating blow to every aspect of our Oxbow family. I dread the thought of my children finding out he has been removed because they will be heartbroken, even my youngest who has yet to attend Oxbow. This decision needs to be reconsidered especially since it was made without allowing us families to voice our opinion or even be told why. I am deeply disappointed that we were promised transparency under Dr. Salah's leadership and are now being kept in the dark. We as parents shouldn't have to beg and plead for answers and resort to petitioning over such a critical decision for our school. Mr. McAuliffe belongs at Oxbow and deserves to stay!

Chris should NOT be dismissed! I have had 3 children go through Oxbow from Kindergarten. One has since moved on to 6th grade, I currently have a 4th grader and a 1st grader. Chris has done so much for my children. The children have a trust in him! They adore him! He gives his heart and soul to Oxbow. Since Chris has been at Oxbow the positive changes have been phenomenal! I have serious concerns about the future of Oxbow if Chris is no longer there.

Chris has made my son feel at home at oxbow since day 1 he has personally made sure he has gotten to class and comforted him when he was crying kindergarten is a rough transition sometimes. Chris seriously goes above and beyond for this school and its kids. He has also called me on his own time at home when my son found a note on the bus that shouldn't have been in a little kids hand. My cousin had him as a teacher and still talks about him to this day and the influence he has had on her life.

I truly hope this isn’t true. Mr.M was my 5th grade teacher back in 04-05 at Oxbow. He is and was one of the most influential adults in my life, and he taught life lessons beyond the classroom at such a young age.

Chris should NOT be dismissed! We want reason and just cause...NOT because a few teachers “ remaining nameless “ want to throw a temper tantrum over a few disagreements! Chris is the glue holding Oxbow together! I have had 2 children in Oxbow, this is my sons last year and I can tell you he is the best principal and this school has ever had! Although we will miss a few staff including our principal I can tell you I can not get out of Oxbow fast enough this year. Too much drama among some staff and parents! We will miss you Chris... if my son could sign this he would as well!!

We have seen dramatic positive changes in Oxbow since Chris has been principal. He is a positive role model and it is clear how much he cares and supports our children. It would be a travesty to remove him from this cohesive environment that he was instrumental in creating and nurturing!
