Chris cares about every student and family that walks through those doors. He shouldn't be removed. These are OUR kids, it should be OUR choice!

Mr. McCauliffe was a great leader for my son when he was at Oxbow. The transformation of the school over the period he was there was amazing. We now have our daughter ready to start kindergarten and we were excited to start her education at Oxbow. The enthusiasm we had has dissipated to where we don’t know if we should look into other options. We were very active with participation on the OPC, Papa Owls, and other groups at the school. We were happy to support the school because of the environment created by Mr. McCauliffe and his team. Instead of removing someone who gives everything he has for the kids with a singular focus on what’s best for the kids, maybe the administration should consider the new variables that have made his job harder over the last year or so. We have been gone for the last two years and I don’t know what is the reason for his removal (other than administrative ease at the school board), but I do know that all factors aside from what I know of Mr. McCauliffe is that Oxbow is a better school and the 100s of kids that have graduated from there are better off because of him. If I were to choose what is best for the children at Oxbow I would choose him every time. I hope Dr Salah and the school board revisit their decision in light of the concerned parents of current and future Oxbow students.

If you can’t give an answer as to “why” you are taking such a huge part of our kid’s life away you shouldn’t be able to. I want accountability NOW!

Our family does not support the removal of our principal. We have known him since he was a teacher at Oxbow.

Chris has made oxbow into a family, a home for all the kids and their families alike! Chris personally greets each student by name, every morning, he's the most active principal I've ever encountered, he dresses up at Halloween, let's kids cover him in silly string, smash pies in his face, raps with the 5th grader's, and SO much more. He personally paid for my son's 5th grade camp, because there was no funds, and my family was struggling, he paid his own money, so my son wouldn't be left out. He's helped my youngest the last 4 years, with her severe anxiety, giving her special jobs, and a safe space to go when she's having a hard time. You will NEVER find a more compassionate, kind, and caring person, to do the job he does every single day! No one is perfect, but he's damn close. All that matters, is that the kids are happy and cared for, and if he's removed, they won't be, Chris IS oxbow elementary.

He is great for the school. The biggest problem is no one is saying why. My guess is a bunch of whiny tree hugging do nothing millennials.

My family along with hundreds of past present and future Oxbow families would be devastated if Chris wasn’t our principle anymore. He is the glue that holds us together. As the Vice President of the parent council for 3 years now, I know first hand how amazing he is with his staff and students. Please reconsider removing him.

Mr. McAuliffe IS Oxbow. He is hands down the best principal ever. Every child and parent adores him.
