Stupidity at its worst by SIC Planning, can't help wondering what other nonsense they are devoting their overpaid time to !

I am a local resident who has to drive to eat out anywhere. I support the building of this restaurant.

Not everything has to be in bloody Lerwick.

It would reduce the carbon footprint if restaurants were able to serve the rural community. This needs to be passed

This is exactly the sort of business we need.

Look forward to visiting your new restaurant, I'm sure the SIC planning dept. will be over ruled on this one. Come on planning, see some sense and get your act together.

An authentic Italian restaurant anywhere in Shetland would be great, although it would certainly lessen my carbon footprint if it was in the north of the island, I live in Hillswick!

Shetland planning is very Lerwick-centric. Rural communities are either ignored or discriminated against. The place intended for the restaurant would be hugely convenient for all north rural inhabitants for once. And a precedent has been set by Braewick - an unbuilt up area, and a successful business.

Do the planners not realise that anybody who doesn't live in Lerwick has to drive to do anything. There is no public transport to get anywhere to eat ...we have no choice but to drive or get a taxi

I live in Quendale and I would be happy to drive to a decent Italian restaurant, I have to drive to any restaurant on Shetland anyway as public transport doesn't serve our community well and I have been known to drive to Frankie's in Brae for Fish and Chips. Good Luck with this petition! I feel the council planners are discriminating against people that live in the country if their policy is to only allow new restaurants to be built in Lerwick

This refusal beggars belief. The councils carbon footprint excuse is quite frankly laughable. Good luck Henry, looks like you're going to need it !

I would love to see this place open... much nearer to me than lerwick!
