A man who clearly has initiative and drive to make Shetland a better place. Why on earth would anyone stand in his way? Come on council, help him get it right, don't stand firmly in his way. This is precisely the kind of project that keeps Shetland on the map. And anyway, I love pizza!

A lot of passing trade on this road, should be enough to fill his 24 seats , planning department must have made a wrong interpretation of the laws. A set of petrol pumps would be good too.

Businesses in rural areas should be encouraged. A restaurant in the country will encourage folk to enjoy the countryside and will not spoil it

Planners, "what is good for the goose is good for the gander"you allowed planning for the Breiwick Cafe, so how can you refuse an identical planning application? Admit that you got it wrong, and let the restaurant be built.

Not everybody lives in Lerwick and if every business in the country depended on people walking or riding a bicycle would be no businesses in the country. Perhaps the planners would like that.

Councillor Jonathan Wills reminds us that elected councillors should represent the people that voted for them. If his colleagues have the same integrity then the result of the appeal should be a 'no-brainer' !

Utter disgrace, rural areas pump millions into the Shetland economy. Carbon footprint will reduce for all of us not having to travel into the toon. SIC planners should seriously review and change this piece of planning policy.

I hope this succeeds. Rural development is much needed, but apparently the planners want to stifle anything that's not in Lerwick! They should be ashamed of themselves.

We live on Yell where there is nowhere to go to eat, so driving is the only option. This would actually be nearer for us, excellent way to improve our carbon footprint! ! !
Good luck
