Shetland needs this enthusiasm and commitment to genuinely good food. It will support tourism & inhabitants alike.

Since I moved to Shetland 14 years ago, I have always said one thing missing is an Italian restaurant. There are plenty of other places people drive to, like Frankie's in Brae, or Busta House , for a good meal so the reasons for rejection are crazy.

Get with the times please Shetland

I don't understand how businesses in Lerwick are allowed, which must rely on custom from the whole of Shetland, the majority of whom must have to drive to Lerwick - but a proposed restaurant outside of Lerwick is disallowed because of the need to drive there. If anything a restaurant in a rural area will reduce the carbon footprint, allowing people from the North and Westside to have an evening out without driving all the way to Lerwick.... oh, hang on, perhaps I've answered my own question. Shetland IS NOT just Lerwick.

the SIC has too many personnel who seem to think that sticking to red tape and finding fault when really there is no problem , they are doing there job so professionally , common sense and co-operation sometimes goes out the window, I wish you all the best in your aspiration.

There is no reason why this restaurant can not go ahead. We have to drive to most restaurants in Shetland any way.

For some reason it's got where I live wrong. Scalloway will do.

With Turkish Delight gone, I need a place to get proper pizzas again.

Would love to go to this Authentic Italian restaurant. If I can travel to Hillswick and Eshaness to eat I can travel to Voe!! Shetland consists of more than Lerwick.

Should be great for Shetland to have a real Italian restaurant. And between Voe and Brae is a perfect place.
