Council planners should consider the views of the public, after all they are answerable to the public. Pass this plan.

Fully support this.
Don't see why it should be decided by anyone where or where we cannot eat ..

Planning gets it wrong again. The excuses used are utterly ridiculous. Everyone has to travel to go anywhere in Shetland. Many people already go to Brae and Voe for nights out and to go for meals. Why would an establishment between the two make any difference to the carbon footprint. A nonsense anyway when you have sullom Voe lighting up the sky for all to see.

I fully support the planning application to open an Italian a Restaurant at Parkgate between Brae and Voe.

I left Shetland because the Planning Dept built the monster house on top of mine. They do not care unless you work for them, good Luck and I hope you win as this Dept brings shame and arrogance to the good folk of Shetland.

This would be a unique and beneficial business to Shetland that would support local jobs and communities. For the Shetland Islands Council T block this venture from going ahead shows just how out of touch the individuals concerned are and how badly they need to open their eyes and step forward into the 21st century.

Such stupid reasons for not allowing this restaurant to go ahead, I hope the appeal is successful.

The Council's lunacy is just that, lunacy. Basing a decision to deny planning on carbon footprint, is laughable.

As per usual the Shetland islands council shows how utterly inept they are at their jobs and made it abundantly clear how little they care about anything outside of lerwick, its a pizza restaurant, not an assisted suicide centre, why block it?

Good luck and hope planners come to their senses. Just because people can't walk to it is no excuse. Very few places where you can walk to a restaurant unless you live in Lerwick.

This island needs something a bit different, an Italian restaurant would be a great addition, regardless of what area of Shetland it would be situated in.

it's a necessity it drive to nearly every restaurant in Shetland. I'm fully in support of this proposal.
