Don't let the planners decide where you can and can't eat!

Would save me over 25 miles driving coming from Whalsay compared with going to Lerwick for a meal. Its about time that the the authorities realise that there are people in Shetland that don't live in Lerwick and start suporting them. Good luck with your new venture.

Hope you get your planning permission. Do they not figure people in voe and sounding area dont want to have to go to lerwick to get more choice where they eating out. also tourist in summer may like to pop in have something to eat.

Hope common sense prevails and you get planning permission

About time we had a good & different eaterie up north outside lerwick! We country folk have to drive to all hotel/food establishments, as those locations are not easily accessible! Get a grip SIC Planners, get off your high horse & support this business! Nearly 10% of Shetlands population does!! Surely you can hear & see that support!

The planners must live on a different planet from the rest of us!

i love Italian foods I this regardless of where it's situated would 100% be a frequently visited place. Due to living in the country I have to travel to Lerwick, Brae & up to Busta house if I want to eat out anyway so I do not see that to be a valid reason not to allow this to go ahead. It's about time Shetland was aloud something "new".

This just shows how woefully out of touch the Planning/Development departments are with rural island life: Living rurally necessitates travel, ESPECIALLY if the only facilities are in the town. Having a restaurant in the centre of the main island, closer than Lerwick to the ferries from the northern islands and to Sullom Voe, not to mention those villages past Voe and Brae, could contribute to reduced emissions rather than an increase as those people who currently have to travel the extra twenty miles to Lerwick would no longer have to do so. This is a farcical decision by a department who don't seem to appreciate that there is life outside Lerwick. Please, SIC, get in touch with those you are paid to make decisions and act on behalf of!

It will be a splendid addition to the cuisine in Shetland, living in Sumburgh we have to drive every time we go out.
