I believe if we open up new fossil fuel sources, this will hasten or extinction, which is a very real possibility if the accepted 'normal' anthropogenic climate change triggers abrupt positive feedbacks.
We have to weigh up all these issues. Please extend the consultation time.

IT DOSENT MATTER WHAT TYPE OF FRACKING IT IS ,IT IS STILL FRACKING AND IT STILL HAS THE SAME HAZARDS AS ANY OTHER FRACKING ,KEEP LINCOLNSHIRE RURAL AND CLEAN

Faced with catastrophic climate change, all our energy should be directed toward abandoning hydrocarbons and their toxic environmental impact, in favour of green, renewable energies. Other countries have seen the light: why is the UK so destructively backward looking?

It is the sense of total disregard for the concerns of citizens throughout the country which led to our exit from Europe.
If we are to avoid the levels of social disruption and violence which attends oil/gas extraction throughout the World, we MUST allow due process and evaluation of evidence to take place in the decision making of mineral extraction - and the local population's views MUST be given due weight and consideration.
We are dealing with a monstrously polluting and contaminating industry; our children and grandchildren must not have their future survival compromised.

Research into unconventional oil & gas extraction methodologies reveals that they all have serious adverse impacts on public health and the environment. with renewable technologies making green energy increasingly competitive in pricing with fossil fuels (especially if the massive government tax breaks to the oil industry were removed) coupled with theCOP21 commitments means that no permits for further fossil fuel extraction should be granted anywhere!

We need to look to other energy sources! No drilling for carbons should be acceptable in this time of advanced technology. This can serve all our needs in the future once storage and capture reach required levels.
