Please consider why our Government would have suppressed DEFRA report until after changes to UK laws concerning unconventional oil & gas extraction.

Not in my back garden - you can only prove it won't have detrimental effect by going ahead with it, and that's just not the time to flip a coin, it cannot start here!

The enviromental risks of hydraulic fracturing are far too great and should be an issue of public concern. The potential risks include the contamination of ground and surface water, methane emissions, air pollution, migration of gases and hydraulic fracturing chemicals and radionuclides to the surface, the potential mishandling of solid waste, drill cuttings, increased seismicity and associated effects on human and ecosystem health. The public have a right to say NO to fracking within their communities and not be overruled by local councils and government bodies.
