The benefits of fracking are out weighed by the risks the industry poses to our health and safety. The evidence for this exists in USA and Australia. France and other countries have banned fracking. England should do this too. NOW.

We already have at least three times the amount of fossil fuels in known reserves that will be safe to burn to keep us from worst effects of climate change.

Given the potential for long term environmental damage in these processes the time allowed for assessment is insuficient.

The dangers of Radial drilling proppant squeezing and acidification must be researched thoroughly and the public must be made fully aware of the dangers. Councils must exercise their duty of care to their communities and resist the temptation to become puppets of the government.

Fracking is not safe, it destroys our countryside, water and air. When is this government going to realise this is not the answer?
