The state seems to be trying to corporatize a lifestyle that has been passed down generations, is already a commercial entity, and is vital to the Hawaiian culture. Doing this along with recently losing the WSL contest (hopefully temporarily) will gravely impact the future of the lifestyle/sport. Disrupting Pipe Masters was bad enough commercially, but to do this will completely remove the roots of surfing with the intent of monetizing it. Native Hawaiians have lost enough due to commercialization. No need to completely whitewash their culture.

This guy sounds like another Donald Trump. Something we don't need; turning off our visitors with a money- hungry, abrasive attitude and removing aloha from Waikiki.

Hawaii cannot be Hawaii without Hawaiians. If you can’t even stand to keep surf institutions in tact perhaps you should bring your money first American Politics back to the main land and let the Hawaiian people have their tax free monarchy back as it was for thousands of years.

Aloha is everything. Aloha is the love we share. Aloha is our culture. Oahu Dive company does not share Aloha. Thus has no place here.
