Hawaii needs to stand by and support the traditions which have developed here. These traditions are what define us as a people. By eliminating or diluting them we only act to dilute our culture and community.

Oahu Dive is destroying Hawaiian beach boy culture and the reward of contract was shady and unfair!!!

Tourist associate Waikiki beach with beach boys! This is what tourist look forward to at Waikiki Beach! Do not take away this tradition that has been in place for decades! Leave this part of history alone!

This is where I grew up. This has always been here. They need their jobs and to keep this alive.

A guy with no surfing experience starting surf lessons in Waikiki and running out The Beach Boys? Cmon city and county, always chasing money and not thinking about our own kanaka. Smh

The Beach Boys have helped make Waikiki beaches the welcoming and safe place for anyone to learn how to surf.

LET THE LOCALS KEEP THE LOCAL WAY! Waikiki is already so developed, without any Hawaiian feel but you go to see The Beach Boys and you get that sense of Aloha spirit and just that feeling you should feel as you are trying to enjoy the island. Why try to change everything? People are coming to Hawaii to feel the Hawaii feel! Not the feeling they get when they go to Orlando or California or whatever. Keep Hawaiian Lands in Hawaiian Hands! Mahalo nui beach boys! Don’t give up! Our ancestors did it and we gotta make them proud! #EHoloMua
