I understand the importance of free market but to have a dive company come in to teach surf and take over both spots. I feel this is not fair and un healthy for Waikiki, her people and the community.
Please allow us to keep our history and culture alive. It’s all we have left on this expensive island.

As a former keiki in Honolulu, I can personally attest that the corporate makeover of what is a uniquely Hawaiian tradition will not make it more attractive and welcoming for tourists, it will make it the same as everywhere else that has sand and palm trees. People go the extra mile to Hawai’i for the culture, not just the beach. Please keep it that way.
