You been bothering them for years! Leave them alone already! Let them work peaceful without you having to take big money from them every month! How dare you take from the locals and give offers to foreigners,!

This is absolutely disrespectful and insulting to the Hawaiian beach boys and there family ! The Beach Boys are the best thing to Waikiki showing Aloha and teaching visitors from all over the world surfing , its more natural to see a local beach teach surfing then some instructor with a uniform and a name tag on the beach , how whacked is that !!! Don’t Destroy the Hawaiian Beach Boy Culture , it’s a way of life and income to the families that depend to continue there surf lesson business, no need to change it if it’s been working the past decades !!!!

Waikiki beach boy is our Hawaiian family. I and my mother went Hawaii since about 46years. Of cause I couldn’t speak English that time. But they really kind and took care of us a lot. Mom is 81years old now.she still wants to see beach boy at Hawaii.

Don’t let him ruin the culture of Waikiki he doesn’t know nothing about the legacy and culture of surfing of Hawaii he doesn’t know how to surf so why should he own a Buisness that he knows nothing about. Please don’t let him ruin the culture

Very saddened and upset! THIS CANT HAPPEN! I used to work for Hawaiian oceans as a beach boy! Was my first job I’ve ever had and it taught me so much. Ive basically been in Hawaii my whole life and spent a lot of time on that beach with a lot of the guys that have been there for years! Growing up and going to school In Hawaii I learned so much about the history and culture but I never really understood what it felt like or what it meant to be apart of it! Being a beach boy is a lifestyle not a job it gave me a taste of what real aloha is and for that I will forever be greatful ! It’s basically one big family! yes at times things were a little interesting and man the people you work with definitely are some characters but they are family and they are the guys who are in Waikiki still spreading the aloha Hawaiian style! Don’t make the mistake of giving it away! It will never be the same!!

Dive OAHU has NO idea about running a beach stand in Waikiki!!!!!!!
This is all about the money & GREED....the city can't get their bid process right..........if Dive Oahu didn't qualify then, then they shouldn't now. The big question....... who is getting the $$$$$$ kickback off this deal.
It's a shame people that don't ever step foot on the sand want to make decisions for those who make their living working on the beach, do they assume that it's a cake walk type job, just sit back and collect???? Not so much.
That guy just dreams of making more and more money, he posted it himself on his facebook page: Brian Benton

#oneluckyguy. About 18 months ago a friend came to the Island and made me do stuff I normally never do. We went the beach and sat in the sand and watched the waves and surfers in the hot sun in Waikiki. While she was looking at all the hot guys I was looking at the dollars being made by renting chairs, umbrellas. surf boards. within days I started looking for a contract. Soon a contract appeared and with my TRUSTED team we went and put together are best bid ever. In short we won. My company will soon be known as Dive Oahu & Surf. The new location is right in front of the Duke statue at the best and busiest beach in Waikiki. excited is a understatement. I've only owned 1 surfboard in my life in the coming days I will have over a 100. That also means we are hiring ...
........can't he just be happy with his scuba diving company and Hanauma Bay? Per the bid requirements, we all know he made more than $1.7 million dollars for the last 3 consecutive years. Guess that's not enough!!!
GREED and ignorance, not a good combination. And to think his GREED will destroy the lives of some of these long time beach boys, seriously you think some of our UNCLES, the older guys are gonna work for hourly minimum wage pay and sell activities off their issued ipad???? Really?
LET’S ALL STAND TOGETHER AND PROTEST! Beach Boys of Waikiki Must live on!
