So much of local culture is leaving Hawaii. I was at Kihei and it could have been Miami.

I’ve been on the beach since 1982 right out of high school .myself and tony Scarfone use to just come and surf at his grandfathers surf stand . Mr Rutledge , better known as grandpa was in business with steamboat mokuahi at the time . When you came to the beach in those days you had to respect where you were and what you were doing . I never imagined that I would be doing the same thing as them in my lifetime . Here I am now a canoe captain a job that only a few were given . I’ve done so much just to be in this position that it would take a novel to write about it all. My point is ! You should have at least experience for what you are about to get into . Knowledge Of the canoe and the history of this sacred place . I could go on and on but I will just have faith in our mayor to at least look into this issue . Do the right thing

Tourists come to Hawaii for the experience of the people our ALOHA. Not how they dress. Our ALOHA is our professionalism.

I am sadden to hear that Waikikibeach will not have the Waikiki Beach Boys there to run the true Hawaiian tradition of spreading the Aloha spirit on the beach of Waikiki

I'm in total agree with you. Waikiki's beach culture is a part of Hawaii. Aloha and mahalo.

The Waikiki beach boys were there since day one! They should definitely not be touched! They make Waikiki “waikiki”. The Beach Boys are such a big part of Waikiki, it’s crazy!
