This is unexceptable. Stop taking away everything that makes Hawai’i special! Stop taking the culture away from Waikiki and whitewashing it.

Keep the Beach Boys! Everything that has been taken from us has never been returned! We (Hawaii) is being forced to live an American lifestyle instead of practicing our cultural rituals!

Though I've never surfed, not once, in my entire life, it's one of my goals, to learn to stand on a board and ride the waves and make it a lifestyle. When I came to the Mainland, all I've been asked is, "Are u from Waikiki?" No. I'm from the island of Maui. Though I did get to spend a whole day at the beach before I left the islands. Let me tell u, the sunset's amazing. Being able to spend my afternoon, foot dug in the sand, admiring the cotton filled sky and the coconut trees from the distance. The colors of the sky slowly changing from cotton pink to orange and the sun slowly setting at the horizon. And at night, the torches lit, the crowd in the streets fills up. The whole atmosphere filled with such amazing, strong, abundance of spirit. The Spirit of Aloha.
What makes Waikiki amazing? What makes the Hawaiian Islands the Island of Paradise? What is it with the Islands that attracts so many to dream of stepping in the Islands?
The beaches. The mountains. The waterfalls. The food. And most importantly, it's the Great Hawaiian culture. And who knows better of the Hawaiian culture than the locals themselves. It's the amazing people of Hawaii who's grown up in the Islands, the same people who shows true meaning of Aloha, who's taught and teaches to respect the land and the ocean and show Aloha to others.
Let the Locals be. Let Waikiki be. This world ain't all about money. And it ain't all about wearing name tags to show professionalism either. Dude, it's the beach. We just wanna surf and chill.
All for Aloha and the love for surfing. And the love for our culture. And the our love for Hawaii.

I was in Hawaii for 2 and a half months and literally rented a board from these guys everyday! The reason I kept going there and supporting them was because of how amazing the staff were. They were so friendly, and when they weren’t working would come and surf with me, which was amazing because I was travelling solo. I spent a lot of time hanging around the beach boys stand and I know that if you change the management, and how they run their beach stand you are going to loose a lot of customers and the Hawaiian culture that comes through in their customer service. Why break something that’s not broken???

Honolulu C&C should be ashamed of themselves and the Hawaii Tourism Authority should be helping the fight to keep the traditional beach boy culture alive since they preach about branding and marketing ALOHA to the world. Shame on both of them
