The beach boys and their local laid back style is a style that tourist flock to. Not the preppy yatcht club fashion and style that this other group is hoping to introduce. Locals understand the way the waves break at different times of year, the way the board will ride with different riders, the needs and wants of the people who seek them out for a lesson or two. Dont take away that culture. Its ine of the few things we have left of what makes waikiki a number one tourist destination. You cant fake being a beach boy.

To me this just blows my mind, I’m at a loss for words. This isn’t Pono. Letting haoles with money come in & take away the True Aloha from learning how to surf with real HAWAIIANS who are born & raised here
